Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot's planning department has proposed at new tax-increment financing (TIF) district south of the Stevenson expressway, west of South Cicero Ave.

City documents show that the TIF district's boundaries line up with a residential/commercial development proposed by the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) and the expansion of a charter school connected with former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan.
